Passing the Civil Service Exam in the Apocalypse [Infinite]

People often say that the end of the universe is a secure government job.

Jiang Li, an ordinary senior in college, was juggling grad school applications, civil service exams, and job hunting when the apocalypse suddenly descended from the sky.

All normal life on Earth came to a standstill.

The only thing anyone could do was survive the end-of-the-world game stages, each one different and all of them fraught with danger.

As people cleared more and more stages, news about the ultimate reward began to emerge.

The System said solemnly, "In the not-too-distant future, the entire world will be completely overrun by dark matter and destroyed. The elites selected by the end-of-the-world game will be humanity's last sparks of life. Amid the collapse of order and the Night Parade of a Hundred Ghosts, they will have a chance to survive. From then on, they can travel freely between countless planes, unbound by flesh or soul. As the universe collapses in its final destruction, they will become executors of the universe's supreme will, beings your human race considers close to gods."

But to Jiang Li, a Chinese woman, that long, obscure speech translated itself automatically in her mind as:

A stable job. No unemployment. No age-35 crisis.

Isn't that just a secure government job in an apocalyptic world?

Jiang Li: My Chinese civil-service-exam spirit, activate!

The male lead is nonhuman.

Theme: Never give up, no matter what difficulties you face.
