Meng Yunshu unexpectedly died suddenly, and when he opened his eyes, he had become a young man in a farming family.
The poor fellow had lost both parents as a child and suffered endless abuse at the hands of his uncle. He was eventually sold to a human trafficker and had never enjoyed a single good day.
Reborn into someone else's family as a husband, he found himself married to a man with nothing but four bare walls and empty pockets. He couldn't decide which was more frightening: being married off or being penniless.
Fortunately, he had a little shop that connected to other planes, so escaping poverty wouldn't be hard.
"Ding! An order from a sci-fi plane. Please check it."
"Ding! An order from a beastfolk plane. Please check it."
"Ding..."
And so instant noodles became a wildly popular delicacy across the stars, while lighters became divine miracles in the mouths of beast-world shamans...
But a good life depends on the land, and seeds are the key.
With his golden ticket by his side and the little shop to rely on, Meng Yunshu set about promoting new crops in the ancient world, from corn and potatoes to rice... As long as his golden ticket didn't keep quizzing him on science and math, they could work things out.

The Yu family had once been comfortably well-off. The family of six had lived happily together, but a disaster struck, leaving only Yu Jinhuai and his hungry little nephew.
After the mourning period ended, Yu Jinhuai tried to find a wife, but was rejected at every turn. He had a child in tow, an empty home, and a scar on his face. Nobody would have him, and the matchmakers passed him around as a bad prospect.
Then one day, the bad prospect brought home a young husband.
The villagers all waited to laugh at the Yu family and see the new husband pack up and leave.
When the rumors reached Meng Yunshu, he smiled faintly. As a transmigrator with a little shop connected to other planes in one hand and a golden ticket in the other, he would be letting down nine years of compulsory education if he couldn't make a fortune.

Ji Shangyu was the most envied young man in the village, all because he was engaged to a handsome scholar.
Life in the Ji household was far from easy. His stepmother beat and cursed him at every opportunity, and Ji Shangyu could only hope his wedding day would come soon so he could escape the cage.
He never imagined that his stepmother's brother would covet his marriage arrangement and join forces with the family to sell him off to a hard-drinking, wife-beating butcher in town as a second husband.
Ji Shangyu overheard them and fled with his belongings in the middle of the night, hoping to seek refuge with his fiance, but he was discovered and locked in the woodshed.
On the day of the wedding, as he listened to the gongs and drums outside, Ji Shangyu prepared to fight to the death. Then a voice appeared in time, rekindling his hope of survival.
"That's not Brother Yu. I know what Brother Yu looks like."
The farce came to an end when Ji Shangyu left with Jiang Yuansong.

Worried that he would ruin his husband's chances in the imperial exams, Ji Shangyu was anxious every day. He feared the Jiang family would reject him and prepared himself to be cast aside, but married life turned out to be far better than he'd expected.
He had enough to eat and warm clothes, never had to endure a cold shoulder from his husband's family, and even learned to read with Jiang Tingsong. The Jiang family praised him to everyone they met for being hardworking and sensible.
Ji Shangyu was dazed and uneasy, thinking it must be a dream. Then he touched the puppy and the primer, and after his initial fear came nothing but joy. Jiang Yuansong said they were gifts for him.

As Ji Shangyu studied characters in the courtyard, he heard a voice from next door. His face flushed, and a shy smile appeared.
"You're all a bunch of blockheads. You can't even compare to..."
"Can't even compare to my husband. He's so clever, he can learn ten characters in a day."
"Quiet."
Jiang Yuansong glared at his students in exasperation, secretly thinking that they really weren't as clever as his husband.
Premise: Live life with determination.
