The Canary's Plan to Tame Its Master

Fu Shi fell for Xu Nian at first sight.

An art student, with rosy lips and pearly teeth, a lovely voice, and a clever mind.

Surely having a little temper was no big deal for such a perfect little canary? Just a little trouble, nothing more.

After years of putting up with him, Fu Shi's own playfulness wore away, and he wanted to settle down with Xu Nian for good.

So on their anniversary, he hurried home with flowers in hand

Only to see Xu Nian glance at him lazily and say in his usual gentle voice, "Fu, you want to get married and I want to date. After all these years, can't we part on good terms?"

After breaking up, Xu Nian was like a fish back in water, free again, and soon had dates lined up one after another.

His former sugar daddy couldn't hold back any longer and came to ask him out:

"I neglected you before. Let me make it up to you. We're still friends, after all."

Xu Nian gave it a moment's thought, then said with a hint of amusement:

"You can't come empty-handed if you're apologizing."

Friends? Friendship really was the perfect excuse, a way to make things sound respectable.

Since Fu Shi wasn't willing to break up, Xu Nian would push his luck and claim everything that could never have been his.
