When I Gaze into the Abyss

Chu Tao sees the eighteen years of her past as an abyss. She hated her younger self.

Stupid as a pig, making no sense.

She never imagined that one day she would unexpectedly travel back ten years.

She became Fu Jin, the untouchable school beauty.

She saw herself at that age.

Only sixteen, innocent and naive, with a touch of foolishness, but still with a light in her eyes.

She had intended to cut ties with her past and coldly watch Chu Tao struggle on the edge of despair.

But later, when Chu Tao smiled at her timidly, her heart would itch.

When Chu Tao cried, her heart would ache.

When Chu Tao played around with others, jealousy drove her mad.

She thought she was gazing into the abyss, never imagining the abyss would rush at her and wrap her in its arms.

Chu Tao has a secret: she likes Fu Jin.

But Fu Jin is so dazzling that Chu Tao has to stand on tiptoe just to catch a glimpse of her.

What's worse, Fu Jin doesn't seem to like her.

She is always cold and sharp with Chu Tao, leaving her afraid to indulge in any wishful thinking.

But later, when Chu Tao falls into the mire, battered and disheveled,

Fu Jin is the only one by her side.

She says,

"Chu Tao, stand up."

So Chu Tao struggles to her feet and runs toward her goddess.
