My Shikigami Is the Best in the World

[Old embarrassing work. Don't read it]

A story about a fox finding another fox.

"It's just that this world can no longer make me laugh from the heart."

"Then I'll be the one to help you get to know this world all over again."

I'll show you countless worlds of monsters!

The fox smiled.

The strange and breathtaking Snake Princess, a courtesan of the highest rank, swayed with fragrant elegance. A hulking demon dragged its long tongue and enormous claws. A mountain-sized skeleton lurked amid swirling clouds and mist, ghostly flames flickering in its hollow eyes, while a wall of white bones seemed to cradle an entire procession.

[They hide beneath snow-covered Mount Fuji, in the raging waters of the Seto Inland Sea, in the lush forests of Chiba, and in ancient burial grounds shrouded in mist. They hide in our closets and in the dust in the air. In the dead of night, they haunt our nightmares. Life is like a painted dream, a lone lantern flickering in a haze.] -- "Tales of Monsters"

Beyond countless lights, a seventeen-year-old curse technique user accidentally bumped into someone in an alley. That person turned around.

The story begins with every encounter. Everything that came before was merely a prologue.

To new meetings, and to reunions.

A few things to know:

* The pairing is with Natsu. Natsu has lost his memories after death.

* Also known as "Starting from Zero: An Old Married Couple's Life" and "Trainer Xiao Jie and His Shikigami Adventures"

* My take on monsters and the supernatural, featuring some obscure anime. The plot takes center stage, and the romance is subtle.

* There's an alternate-timeline story next door. You can read it or skip it without affecting your enjoyment of this one; at most, you'll miss a few little easter eggs.

* The male lead is an original character, a little half-demon fox with a bit of black sludge on him. He's working hard to get rid of it~

Enjoy reading. If it's not your thing, just part ways using the top-right button!
