Sheng Jing transmigrates into a book and becomes a cannon-fodder character in a novel set in a bygone era. Most people who transmigrate into a book as cannon fodder don't worry too much. They just have to stay away from the heroine and the original plot. But she can't do that. The original supporting character, Sheng Lin, is her own older sister, and she's facing the dilemma of being sent to the countryside.
In the original novel, Sheng Lin used underhanded methods to stay in the city and become a worker. The original protagonist, who was only sixteen, went to the countryside in her place and eventually died of illness far from home.
Now that Sheng Jing has transmigrated into the book, she wants to change her fate and stay away from Sheng Lin and her biased parents. Is going to the countryside really her only option?
She remembers the great-uncle from the original novel, who had been separated from her grandfather for many years and was about to come looking for his family.
The great-uncle never married and had no children. Maybe she could be adopted into his family?
The most valuable kind of college graduate, in an era of prosperity where even a pig can take off if it catches the right wind!
Then let's set two little goals first: get into Tsinghua or Peking University, then earn a hundred million...
Reader's Guide:
1. Before transmigrating, the heroine was a girl from the hutongs. After transmigrating, she starts out in the countryside, and only moves to the hutongs after being adopted into her great-uncle's family.
2. The story focuses on everyday family life and career in the hutongs, with relatively little romance.
3. Before transmigrating, the heroine was called Sheng Jing. After transmigrating, the original character is called Sheng Yu. Later, she is adopted by her great-uncle and renamed Sheng Jing. Sheng Yu is a homophone for "leftover," making it an insulting name that the heroine refuses to accept. So during this period, the narration calls her Sheng Jing, while the characters in the story call her Sheng Yu. This section is short, so it should be easy to understand. The author does not plan to change it.
4. The story includes a switched-at-birth plot, but it only explains why Li Yufen's family treats the heroine badly. There is no fight between the true and fake heiresses. The other girl was discovered by her biological parents long ago and adopted by someone else, and she never appears in the story. Please skip this if that bothers you.

Good articles are rare. It's so good that I read it in one go. It's a bit short, and I could have written a million words.
As long as you don't have love and focus on your career, the plot won't be bad. Hahahaha, it's very interesting.
