After Being Reborn, I Handed Over Another World

[Content warnings at the end of the blurb. If you've subscribed to the full story, please leave a rating.] The first thing Shi Mu does after being reborn from the apocalypse is turn herself in to the state. Shi Mu has an enormous cheat: a vast alternate world she can enter and leave at will. The System bound to her stays silent unless she speaks to it, and has no ambition whatsoever. Shi Mu, its Host, takes things just as easily, treating the alternate world as a secret garden where she occasionally goes for a stroll or does a few tasks. It isn't until the apocalypse breaks out that she realizes what she has missed. Food spoils, zombies lay siege to cities, plants mutate, and disasters such as extreme heat and cold strike one after another, driving unprepared people to the brink of despair. Shi Mu rescues many people by bringing them into her alternate world, only to be killed by ill-intentioned people. She is reborn shortly before the apocalypse. This time, she doesn't hesitate to tell the state everything. An elite unit and experts from various fields accompany Shi Mu into the alternate world. They discover that the natives live difficult, simple lives despite having natural treasures all around them. Eager to lend a hand, they begin a life of mutual support. Good farmland left uncultivated? Don't worry, we're experts at clearing land and farming! Ingredients you don't know how to cook? Don't worry, we're experts at researching delicious food! Wild beasts roaming the wilderness? Don't worry, we're experts at tracking and hunting! What? We've found a monster nest where strange creatures drop magic scrolls? The elite unit is ready. We're heading out now! * Certain countries express intense dissatisfaction with Rong's unusual actions. They even fabricate lies and twist the truth, accusing Rong of having ulterior motives, and repeatedly pressure it in diplomatic settings, hoping to profit from the situation. Then the apocalypse breaks out, plunging the whole world into panic. Only Rong remains orderly. Zombies laying siege to a city? We have a well-trained elite force, skilled in both magic and martial arts, each fighter able to take on a hundred! Mutated plants? We have magic scrolls. Toss one, and the monstrous plants go up in flames. They won't stop burning until they're reduced to ash! Short on food and clothing? We have a steady supply of rice, flour, cooking oil, and fabric. No time to talk, we're off to move supplies! Certain countries are frantic with envy: Why is life here completely different from yours??? Shi Mu calmly replies over the mic: You'll have to ask yourselves that. * Much later, Shi Mu is asked, "Why were you so quick to hand everything over to the state? Weren't you afraid?" Shi Mu smiles serenely. "If it can benefit my country, I'd willingly give my life. Why would I be afraid?" * * The System is not the male lead. * Please don't empathize with the alternate world's perspective. The details on that side will be explained later in the story. * The female lead starts out as an ordinary, kindhearted person. Before she was reborn, events came without warning and she lacked the ability to handle them. She is not the ruthless, decisive type. * [ALTERNATE SETTING, ALTERNATE SETTING, ALTERNATE SETTING. Especially anything involving countries: everything is fictional. Please read with a clear head.] Theme: If it benefits the country, I will give my life for it. Why avoid it because of good or bad fortune?
