Take a look at my upcoming novel: I Have a Thousand Ways to Bluff Villainous Big Shots
Fang Shuwan spent three years as Shen Zhaoqi's substitute lover.
In everyone's eyes, Fang Shuwan was pitifully pathetic, dumped the moment Shen Zhaoqi's white moonlight returned from abroad.
The media also loved mocking the love lives of little-known entertainers with no powerful connections.
Fang Shuwan's first variety show was a major, nationally popular production.
The media said, "Well, this show is probably Boss Shen's breakup compensation. Too bad she's only here to play second fiddle to Best Actor Sheng, the man Boss Shen likes."
On the show, Fang Shuwan had no fans to support him, and in the first episode he had to livestream a popularity contest against the white moonlight.
Online media were all there to mock him: Fang Shuwan hasn't even acted in anything. The Best Actor will crush him for sure.
Poor thing. He got beaten in love, and now his career's going nowhere too?
But then, during the livestream...
Fang Shuwan's gaze darkened as he launched into a dramatic performance.
The ups and downs of a wealthy family, the heartache hidden behind the scenes, the humble substitute lover. Even without a fan base, his powerful retorts later on let him dominate the competition.
His image as a strong, innocent little white flower won hearts, and after three hours of livestreaming, a million passersby became fans.
Viewers: So what if he's a substitute? He's so devoted, beautiful, and pitiful. My heart aches for him!
Shen Zhaoqi doesn't love him, but we do!
His fans waved their flags and shouted every day: Baby, focus on your career!
Stand on your own two feet and show that jerk what he's missing.
The media sneered. You like watching Fang Shuwan build his career, don't you?
Fine. Then they'd film Fang Shuwan crying and begging Shen Zhaoqi to take him back, and show everyone what a pathetic mess he was.
After staking out the place for days, the unscrupulous media finally...
Caught Fang Shuwan and Shen Zhaoqi in the same shot.
Quick, hurry!
The more humble Fang Shuwan looks, the better. Ideally, he'd cry and beg them to get back together.
Dusk fell. Shen Zhaoqi's face was indistinct, but his whole figure radiated coldness.
The media thought: Yes, just like that! Reject him! Humiliate him!
But Fang Shuwan spoke first. He curled his lip and said calmly, "What do you want now?"
Shen Zhaoqi raised his eyes slightly. There seemed to be a hint of anxiety in his voice. "What's the point of pretending to date those little stars at my company? Have you got the guts to fake a relationship with me?"
Fang Shuwan turned and walked away without a hint of warmth. "No."
Shen Zhaoqi followed two or three steps behind, helpless and indulgent. He didn't even dare come up beside Fang Shuwan, and kept following him until he had seen him safely home.
The media staking out the scene didn't dare breathe, much less release the story.
But the very next day, every entertainer under Shen Zhaoqi's company, Interstellar Entertainment, started loudly establishing a homophobic image.
The company's entertainers were even scrambling to make public statements: "I'm straight. I'm not interested in guys who are that pretty and very likely to be my boss's wife!!!"
What couple? Never heard of one. Never faked a relationship. Never heard of it.
The media who'd staked out the scene that day: Well, we know, but we won't say. Everyone's just trying to stay alive.

Qiu Huaizhi: A feel-good novelist who's always accused of dumbing down the plot and tricking readers.
Gu Lianzhi: A perfect fictional character about to be ruined by Qiu Huaizhi.
When creating Gu Lianzhi, Qiu Huaizhi had written with a flourish: all-knowing and all-powerful, wielding immense influence, handsome and dignified.
It was only after seeing readers say the villain was so impressive they didn't want to see him get face-slapped that Qiu Huaizhi finally realized: Why had he made him so good? Gu Lianzhi was a villain!
With such an overpowered golden finger, how was the protagonist supposed to face-slap him?
Got it.
Qiu Huaizhi hurriedly went back and made some adjustments to the story using his usual tricks.
All-knowing and all-powerful, but confined to bed.
Wielding immense influence, but surrounded by treacherous sycophants who deceive and manipulate him.
Handsome and dignified, but ultimately forced to marry a little cannon-fodder character who is mediocre in every way.
Even his marriage partner falls far short of the protagonist.
Qiu Huaizhi laughed triumphantly, convinced he'd never have writer's block again and that face-slapping scenes would come easily from now on.
But perhaps his actions had been too immoral, because Qiu Huaizhi got into a car accident the next day.
Qiu Huaizhi looked at the unfamiliar villa on a hillside. When someone who looked like a butler handed him a warm towel, he couldn't bring himself to laugh anymore.
The man in front of him emphasized, "The young master likes peace and quiet. As his caregiver, you need to be mindful of that."
The story ran for over three hundred chapters, and even Qiu Huaizhi couldn't remember the names of many minor characters.
But he would never forget that last night, while trying to nerf the villain, he had carefully yet carelessly typed the name "Jian Ning" with his own hands!
This was the treacherous sycophant who would later manipulate Gu Lianzhi.
As a sycophant, shouldn't he have a silver tongue and some special skill that Gu Lianzhi couldn't resist?
He wasn't very bright.
So how was he supposed to fool an all-knowing and all-powerful villain?
Theme: Keep a cool head when following celebrities, and be rational about it
Ah, how do I put it? I thought it was a steamed bun, but it turned out to be a steamed bun. The character design collapsed in the later stage, and the plot direction was a bit outrageous. I thought it was a cool story, but in the later stage, there was no spark at all. The attack was all kinds of moral kidnapping and suffering (the wording may not be accurate haha). I was the one who went to the hospital because of your anger, so you have to accompany me. Ah, this emmmmm is pretty disappointing anyway. If you say that chasing your wife in the crematorium is passive, it's up to you to control it. It's really uncomfortable. I can't move forward with my career, I don't even slap my face, it's embarrassing, and the plot falls apart. (Do not spray if it is under control)
. . . How should I put it, the later period is over, but the early stage is very attractive in terms of writing style, plot or characters. Later everything collapsed
I feel like the character design has been overdone and the attack style is a bit strange. I would like to improve my writing a lot. The introduction setting is quite good but the main text is average.
This... Why did Orz end so suddenly and Shen in the back was so inconsistent?
To be honest, I'm a little disappointed. I feel like the plot fell apart a bit (in the later stages), and I'm generally not satisfied with it. But I still wish you all the best and keep working hard.
To this day I still feel that Shen doesn't love Fang
Unsmart Gong and his big enemy brother
Oh my god, it's really exciting, it hit me so hard.
This attack doesn't seem very smart.
Wow, the more I watch, the more I feel that Mr. Shen is so cool.
