[A quick note: This is my first novel, and I know my writing isn't great. The story is a slow burn, and the divine child won't be named in the early chapters.]
[Sorry in advance if the blurb gives away any possible triggers. If everything looks okay, the introduction to the story is below.]
You are a deity "created" by the world, existing solely to balance a world where too many gods have fallen.
Though you are a deity, the world doesn't care about you at all. Its capriciousness meant you had no divine arts to begin with, but your uniqueness taught you how to deal with these things.
You haven't been to many places, but fulfilling people's wishes and gaining their faith has become second nature to you.
I thought I'd come to understand what people called "emotions," but then something happened that made me doubt it.
I think I should stay out of human affairs. They're too fickle.
They believed that no matter how pure a living being seemed, their inner self was never what it appeared to be.
Then they met a true "evil."
[This person won't change, inside or out.]
"Ryomen Sukuna, your nature is to destroy and wreak havoc. You're doomed to lose what you want to protect." The deity hid every trace of emotion and spoke to the man before them, one word at a time.
The man broke into a grin. "Let's find out."
[The blurb is misleading. The big guy really does have very little screen time early on, so please forgive my clumsy time jumps in the early chapters.]
Theme: To gain something, you have to give something up.
