After the young master of the Meng family in Beicheng rescued a fox, the fox began following him everywhere, never leaving his side.
Well, he thought, so be it.
One night:
Meng Zouxu woke in the middle of the night and saw a man in red standing by his bed. He steadied himself and asked, "Who are you? Why are you here?"
"I'm Sheti. I've come to repay you." The man in red smiled at him.
Meng Zouxu asked again, "What do I have to deserve your gratitude? What do you want?"
"You saved my life. I wish to repay you by giving myself to you."
Theme: A drop of kindness should be repaid with a gushing spring.
