A Little Culinary Genius Comes to the Bandit Stronghold

Completed: I’m a Chef at University. Sequel, The Fragrance of Drunken Crab, is updating slowly... Completed: The Cat’s Cafeteria is free to read. Please add it to your collection, thank you! This story: Chi Yan, a private-dining restaurant owner who has achieved financial freedom, transmigrates to an unknown ancient era and becomes a twelve-year-old boy picked up by bandits and brought to their stronghold. To improve life at the stronghold, he takes on the role of its cook, making all kinds of delicious food each day: red-braised pork, hot pot, grilled meat skewers, you name it... Then he discovers that the bandits aren’t vicious criminals. They were all ordinary people forced to flee to Wuyun Mountain. The chubby young chief, who’s skilled with a spear, is also adorably straightforward... The bandits raise pigs and grow vegetables at the stronghold, and sometimes go into the mountains to hunt and forage. Even with few seasonings, dishes made with their all-natural ingredients are incredibly delicious. Chi Yan thinks this life is practically a paradise. The imperial court sends troops to suppress the bandits, but the stronghold has already raised its drawbridge. Unable to cross the cliffs, the army can only camp on the other side. They don’t expect the people in the stronghold across the way to be completely unbothered. They keep drinking and eating hot pot as usual, and the aroma drifts right across the cliffs. Suddenly, their own dry rations don’t taste so good... Waaah, being a government soldier is nowhere near as good as being a bandit... Theme: Love and protection, growing together
