They had to watch out for all kinds of unfamiliar plants and creatures. Most terrifying of all, they discovered that the place was inhabited by natives. If they were caught, they would be sacrificed to the Snake King, a half-man, half-snake monster! After Shen Xiaosheng was sacrificed, he tried acting cute for the Snake King. “Could you please not eat me?” But before long, he found himself staring at the Snake King, who was hugging and cuddling him.
