The Hard Life of a Fish

Mermaids are the sea's fantasy,

And a fleeting glimpse from time immemorial.

An Donger was the last mermaid. Under the sea's protection, he grew up in peace.

When he was sixteen, the sea told him he could grow legs and walk on land.

"My most beloved child, you must embark on a grand adventure and find the one fate has chosen for you. Water is everywhere, and it will always be your most faithful protector."

"Remember, never let anyone discover who you are."

Following the route set out by the sea, An Donger eventually reached a river, only to find his way out blocked by someone drifting along with the current. An Donger hesitated for a moment.

Then, with a flick of his tail, he sent the person flying onto the shore.

And that was how An Donger met him.

I'm terrible at writing blurbs... I can only say that the story I imagined and the one in the blurb are more or less the same, but also somehow very different [covers face].

The story itself is a sweet little romance! If you can, please read it without overthinking (bows to the ground).

P.S. If you dislike OOC portrayals, please don't read!

Author's intent: That was the last treasure.
