After having countless submissions rejected, online flop writer Qi Xiaoxiao swore she would carefully study the masterpieces of a renowned senior. A wuxia novel called The Cold Moon Blade caught her eye because it was a story where the villain won.
The demonic cult leader Yue Wuhen possessed profound inner strength. With his Shuo Feng Cold Moon Blade, he slaughtered the righteous heroes of the martial world.
Qi Xiaoxiao struggled to keep her eyes open as she stayed up all night to finish it. Only after she was done did she realize it was pure wuxia, with no romance at all.
The beautiful women among the righteous sects and the demonic cult's temptresses never attracted the male lead's attention. He seemed so obsessed with practicing his martial arts that he couldn't even see the beauty right in front of him.
Qi Xiaoxiao discovered she had transmigrated into a book. She wasn't the heroine, a supporting female character, or even a random passerby. Damn it, she had become the murder blade in the male lead's hand! And to make matters even worse, she fainted at the sight of blood. She couldn't stand that bright red liquid.
In short, this is the story of a true villain of a male lead who, under the persuasion and "coercion" of a female lead as talkative as Tang Sanzang, is ultimately forced to become a good person.
A talkative, clever-talking, kindhearted drama queen heroine vs. a male lead who loves peace and quiet, is a ruthless, cunning killer with formidable martial arts skills, and shows his gentle side only to the heroine

[Black-bellied loyal, obsessive male lead x beautiful, kindhearted, gentle heroine]
Chu Yao was Yongji County's renowned delicate beauty, with skin like ice and bones like jade. The slightest frown or smile could steal a person's heart.
Even before she came of age, countless people had come to ask for her hand in marriage. But after one particular day, no one ever set foot in the Chu family home to propose again.
Before long, rumors spread that Chu Yao was a fox spirit reincarnated, able to ensnare people's souls and drain their vitality.
Chu Yao paid the rumors no mind. She continued looking after the foolish little brother she'd found by the river, and even gave him the name Chu Ling.
Looking at Chu Yao as she held his hand and taught him to write one stroke at a time, Chu Ling obediently promised, "Sister, don't be sad. Once I learn to read and write, I'll earn lots of money for you."
Chu Yao smiled faintly and couldn't resist teasing him. "When Ling'er grows up, why don't you find your sister a husband who's talented in both literature and martial arts?"
Chu Ling looked utterly confused. "What's a husband?"
Chu Yao stroked his face and explained, "An older brother who can help me look after you."
Three years later, Yuwen Xiao, heir to the Prince of Yan, suddenly left the capital with eight hundred guards and made straight for Yingzhou.
The guards surrounded the small county of Yongji so thoroughly that no one could get in or out.
A young man in fine clothes on a spirited horse burst into the county magistrate's residence and arrested Li Yuanheng, the groom who was about to take his wedding vows, on charges of treason.
Chu Yao stared in disbelief at the man before her, dressed in a black robe embroidered with a python design. His name slipped from her lips. "Ling'er?"
Yuwen Xiao glanced at Li Yuanheng, who was kneeling on the ground and trembling, and smiled as innocently as could be. "Have you forgotten, Sister? You wanted a husband talented in both literature and martial arts."
After that, word spread in the capital that the heir to the Prince of Yan was holding a matchmaking event to choose a husband for someone.
After a painstaking search, the heir selected the newly appointed top scholar, Huo Jifeng, for Chu Yao. She happily awaited her wedding day, never imagining that someone else would be the one lifting her veil.
"A Yao, we're already married. You should call me your husband..."
Chu Yao stared in terror at Yuwen Xiao, dressed in robes as red as fire. She felt as if the sky were about to fall.
Yuwen Xiao pulled the woman he'd yearned for over many years into his arms. He had no intention of letting her leave his side, not even for a single step.
Reading guide:
1. The story is entirely fictional, with many original details. Please don't overanalyze.
2. Older woman, younger man romance. They are four years apart and unrelated by blood.
3. Both leads are each other's first and end up together. The male lead is ruthless to everyone except the heroine.
4. A melodramatic forced-marriage trope.
