After escaping from the laboratory, Ayanokoji discovers that Japan is no longer the place he remembers. His own body has changed, too, and a "Black Ghost" that no one else can see follows him around.
The police here are useless, detectives are everywhere, and more than two cases happen every day on average. Hoping to live the free life he dreams of, Ayanokoji keeps trying to be an ordinary person.
[Reader's Guide]
1. The protagonist is not an original character. He comes from Classroom of the Elite.
2. This is Ayanokoji just after escaping from the White Room. He has a golden finger, and is an Ajin. His personality won't entirely match the original.
3. Ajin: After death, the body is reconstructed. In other words, they only regenerate after dying. As long as they aren't dead, even a catastrophic injury won't regenerate. After revival, the body returns to its original state.
4. First-person narration, no romantic pairing in the main story, with one-sided crushes on the protagonist. The plot includes original settings, the timeline is chaotic, and out-of-character portrayals are to be expected.
