After transmigrating into an interstellar world, Xu Ruanruan, a modern couch potato, awakens a System that lets her communicate with machines.
But Xu Ruanruan doesn't know the first thing about machines and has no idea what the System is good for.
Until one day, the Federation government comes to her door and tells her she has to complete twelve years of compulsory education.
The couch potato has no choice but to go to school.
Originally, she planned to enroll in logistics, which was said to be very easy: all she would have to do was sit at a control console and move her fingers now and then.
But while filling out the form, she accidentally checked the box for the overcrowded, cutthroat mecha manufacturing program.
Xu Ruanruan, who only gets one chance to choose her major, sighs and heads off to take the entrance exam with a gloomy face.
When she sees the test question, she falls into despair.
"Please repair the mecha in front of you within thirty minutes."
The other applicants immediately pull out neat sets of tools as soon as the announcement ends and start banging away at their mechas.
Xu Ruanruan looks at the massive mecha in front of her but can't figure out what's wrong with it.
Giving up on fixing it, she plops down on the floor and chats with the mecha for three hours.
Just as she's about to be eliminated, a voice suddenly rings in her head.
"Ding! Your mecha refused to fall behind. After fighting hard, it has achieved a 100% repair rate."
And so Xu Ruanruan becomes the only one of three million applicants to achieve a 100% repair rate.
The dean of the mecha manufacturing department at a top Federation academy comes looking for her and clasps her hand with tears in his eyes.
"Someone really did find the bug I hid in the mecha's core! You're the disciple I've waited a thousand years for!"
Xu Ruanruan: ?
Have you all misunderstood something? I'm just a couch potato. How would I know how to repair mechas?
Then everyone watches her when she's challenged by someone called the strongest mecha maker of the younger generation.
"Ding! Your mecha has turned over a new leaf and decided to work hard. It has successfully upgraded to an A-rank mecha."
While carrying out a mission with her teammates:
"Ding! Because its owner is such a couch potato, your mecha has decided to fend for itself. Its hardness has increased by 20%."
Everyone: I'll never believe Xu Ruanruan when she says she doesn't know how to make mechas again!
When a reporter interviews Xu Ruanruan, the youngest-ever recipient of the Interstellar Mecha Manufacturing Award,
she falls silent for three seconds, then tells viewers across the entire galaxy:
You might not believe this, but my mechas level up by fending for themselves.
