Twenty-three-year-old Shao Xuanhe never imagined he could have love and a family like a normal person.
Eighteen-year-old Lu Yuanqi never imagined that, in her lifetime, she would meet someone who gave her a reason and purpose to go on living.
Historical version:
Excerpt from Biographies of the Jian Dynasty: Princess Xuan Sheng, of the Lu clan, eldest daughter of Jian Chengdi Lu Wei, the last ruler of Jian. Her origins are a mystery and her birth mother is unknown. It is said she grew up in a pleasure quarter and was found and brought back to the palace at fifteen. She was well versed in assassination, though where she learned it is unknown.
The Records of Famous Generals, Jian Dynasty section, states: Later, during the reign of Jian Xuan Sheng, Shao Xuanhe served as deputy general to the Loyal and Brave General in his first campaign. He became known throughout the land after cutting down General Pingchuan from his horse amid an army of ten thousand. Later, he joined the Loyal and Brave General in suppressing the rebellion at the end of the Jian Dynasty and establishing a new dynasty.
Happy ending, single-couple romance.
Both leads have their issues, since this is a story about saving each other. If they had no issues, what would there be to save?
Couple: A princess bodyguard who keeps wanting to die × a mad general bent on revenge
