Neither a member of the imperial family nor a relative of the court, Shu Qing'ai comes from a mere earl's household. And yet, among the noble young ladies of the capital, the daughter of the Earl of Jian'an still has quite a reputation.
The reason can be summed up in four words: She has a great father.
The unremarkable Earl of Jian'an likes growing flowers and blacksmithing. He neglects his proper duties and holds no real power. As luck would have it, the emperor also loves gardening and smithing. After decades of sharing those interests, who wouldn't envy their bond?
With her wonderful father behind her, Shu Qing'ai spends her days watching the drama and enjoying the gossip. When it's time to act, she does so decisively, and gets results.
One day, she finds a beautiful young woman, Lin, at a Taoist temple. And so begins a new chapter in Lin's story.
Reader's Guide:
1. No golden finger. Everyone is a native of this ancient world. The setting takes inspiration from the Song and Ming dynasties, but is more open-minded than either.
2. Lin is unequivocally the female lead. I try not to villainize anyone or make characters one-dimensional, but there are face-slapping scenes involving certain characters (Madam Wang, Bao-jie, Xiangyun, and others). Readers who are easily upset, beware.
3. The main couple is monogamous, and their romance is sweet. Rest assured, dear readers. This is not yuri, but a boy-girl romance.
4. Peace & Love. Disagreements are normal, but personal attacks (including, but not limited to, attacks on the author or readers) will be reflected back.

I'll announce any breaks in advance. Unless something unexpected comes up, there will be a daily update. (Updates are usually around 6 p.m. on weekends and 9 p.m. on weekdays.)
Theme: Through hardship and adversity, one can become a person of worth.
Alas, if the first emperor had not been so suspicious and allowed the eldest prince to become emperor, the current emperor could have lived a happy life as an idle prince, planting flowers and creating things. What a pity.
This chapter made me feel uncomfortable, and this discomfort was more towards the emperor. This incident is more of a matter of emotional stance. The second and third princes are enemies to Xie Gui, and they are black-eyed brothers to the fifth prince, but to the emperor, he is still a son, and he declares that he has failed to teach his son like his father. The throne is too tempting and the price of failure is too high, so it is impossible to be naive from the moment you sit on that seat. The emperor had no choice, and neither did the fifth prince. The fourth prince himself and his family are too weak, so it will be okay to withdraw safely. On the premise that the fifth prince does not have a legitimate son, as a prince who is not bad for his family and himself, he will definitely end up miserable if he does not fight. The emperor was accompanied by Jian'an Bo, and the frail scholar's chair was not only loyalty, but also friendship. I hope that the fifth prince will have the same blessings as his father. He does not seek to be arrogant, but he hopes that he will always be sincere. The emperor didn't really believe them, but warned them to compromise.
Oh my god, it's so satisfying to argue with me. I love Miss Shu so much. She's so outspoken.
The Zheng family, apart from the second bedroom, the other two bedrooms are so funny that people don't know what to say.
Finished spreading flowers! It's so beautiful ~ Looking forward to the new book
Sure enough, the emperor is a bitch. I should have guessed it a long time ago. I feel a little disappointed. How should I put it? The emperor's behavior for so many years has left some mark on him. It is inevitable that he will become a bit like this. With power, he is like this.
Isn't such a plot necessary?
It's good to get rid of her, but I always feel that it's not very satisfying (I don't mean that it's refreshing when you have to kill people), but every time the heroine criticizes someone, it's neither annoying nor angry. To be honest, the most enjoyable time is the time when the heroine's father entered the palace. According to most of this kind of fan, the heroine just says a few words like this every time. It's not a big loss, but it doesn't hurt, and she has to hurt herself again next time.
It's better to die, or not to be killed by Xie Gui, lest the old emperor one day stop caring about the dead person's fault.
Finished spreading flowers! I like it so much!
