Synopsis:
At the dawn of time and space, the pathways of parallel worlds were tangled and chaotic. The world's energy beings had yet to form, and only a sparse handful of gray celestial bodies glimmered faintly along the black lanes of time and space.
On those chaotic lanes, where time did not flow, a silver-white fluffball opened its eyes. It was the earliest form of time and space.
With the fluffball's arrival, the lanes began to come alive. Its light spilled out, becoming specks of stars that circled the formless space and illuminated the faint energy clusters.
The energy clusters flickered, as if children had seen their mother, and answered it.
Along the endless lanes of time and space, the silver-white fluffball kept rolling, with nowhere in particular to go. A very, very long time passed, long enough for the first world's energy being to begin changing, before the fluffball finally stopped. It shook its fur, and as it shook, a smaller gray fluffball came loose. This fluffball neither glowed nor moved, and the silver one stayed by its side.
Only when the third energy being was about to develop a path toward life did the fluffball finally nudge the little gray ball. But it didn't respond.
"Meow?"
That was the first sound to appear in all of time and space. As it faded, the silver fluffball vanished, and a pair of hands with clearly defined knuckles rubbed the little gray ball.
"Why are you so stupid? Aren't you awake yet?"
