What would it be like for a nine-to-five office worker to enter a survival game?
How would it feel for an office worker nearing thirty to be knocked flat by a kid in their teens?
Lin Mushan refuses to answer that question.
Ever since he entered the game, every monster has gone out of its way to avoid him. The reason is the kid who's always following him around: Jiang Chaoshu.
No one knows why this kid is so absurdly strong. He punches zombies, kicks evil spirits, and even manages to trip a Western dragon on his way past.
Jiang Chaoshu: "Got a problem with me knocking you down?"
Lin Mushan: "No, no."
Jiang Chaoshu: "You don't sound happy about it."
Lin Mushan: "I wouldn't dare. I wouldn't dare."
The office worker Lin Mushan, who lives for slacking off, decides to cling to little Jiang Chaoshu in this game, make a glorious comeback, and reach the pinnacle of life.
Long, long ago, someone told Jiang Chaoshu, "You're not worthless. You're the greatest treasure in the world."
Once a selfish, sensitive heart is opened, it's hard to close again. But after that person helped him out of the darkness, they vanished without a trace.
Fleeting and unreal, like a handful of dust, they disappeared completely.
When Jiang Chaoshu saw him again, he was unkempt and looked half-asleep, like a living ghost whose enthusiasm had been drained by life. He was nothing like the elite he'd once been.
Jiang Chaoshu couldn't help himself. He knocked Lin Mushan flat.
Lin Mushan: "???"
That was impulsive. Very impulsive.
After observing him, Jiang Chaoshu realized Lin Mushan didn't remember him or have any recollection of what he'd done in the past.
No problem. I'll make you remember, bit by bit.
If you started the fire, you have to put it out yourself.
You can't escape.
