Soft as Jade, Delicate as a Flower (Qing Dynasty Era)

(The author's other novel, Her Highness the Beloved Consort Knows Her Place, is currently being serialized. Please add the upcoming novels This Palace Only Wants to Be Empress and Bound by Tenderness to your collection~) "Soft as jade, tender as a flower" comes from the Song dynasty poem "Moon over the West River" by Zhou Zizhi: "Her sleeves are light as clouds and thin as mist, her tipsy body soft as jade and tender as a flower." It describes a woman as delicate and tender as a beautiful flower. [Blurb] After an ordinary accident transmigrates her into the body of a little palace maid in the Qianlong era, Liu Qinghan wears a sweet, charming smile while cursing Heaven countless times in her heart. If she had to transmigrate, why not become a mistress? What was she supposed to do as a maid serving others? Liu Qinghan looks at herself in the mirror. Her eyes shimmer, her lips are full and rosy, and she looks like a lotus flower about to bloom. Only the childish innocence in her features makes her seem naive and kindhearted. Startled, she pats her chest. Thank goodness, thank goodness. This one has potential. Reader's Guide: 1. This is a Qing-era transmigration palace-intrigue story. The male lead is not a virgin, so proceed with caution if that's a problem for you. 2. The female lead is a scheming black lotus, a bit of a manipulative bitch, and her golden finger is her beauty. 3. Malicious negative reviews and malicious reviews that take things out of context will not be tolerated. I will report them and have them deleted. 4. Yes, the female lead is a modern person, but don't ask why she would do that sort of thing. It's because of the feudal society of ancient times, and because the plot calls for it. 5. You can insult the characters all you like. I'll even join in. But don't insult the author, or you'll see my scary side. This blurb's theme statement was screenshotted on May 4, 2021. Blurb for After the Emperor's Short-Lived Favorite Consort Is Reborn: [Foot-Fetish Emperor VS Sweet and Delicate Beloved Consort] 1. In the eighth year of the Jianyuan era, at the Mid-Autumn banquet, Yun Baolin, who had entered the palace only three months earlier, danced so beautifully that she captivated the Emperor. She was immediately promoted several ranks to Meiren, and for the next few months, no one in the harem was more favored. But the good times did not last. Jealous of Yun Meiren's favor, Consort Li bribed an imperial physician to send her to her death. This was what Yun Rong had experienced in her previous life. 2. Reborn into a new life, Yun Rong hides in the palace, trembling with fear. The Empress is fair and has never shortchanged her in the slightest, so why should she throw herself into the fight for favor? After much thought, Yun Rong decides to stay as far away from the Emperor as she can. One day, Yun Rong discovers that whenever she strays from the path she followed in her previous life, her heart pounds with anxiety. Yun Rong: ??? The Emperor's blurb: Emperor Jianyuan ascended the throne as a boy and ruled with diligence, selecting the worthy and appointing the capable. In six years, he pacified the realm. Everyone praises this emperor for his impressive achievements. But only Emperor Jianyuan knows that deep in his heart, he has a secret fetish: feet. At the Mid-Autumn banquet in the eighth year of his reign, the sight of Yun Baolin's little feet dancing atop a drum unwittingly struck a chord with his innermost desire... A little scene: On the first day after Yun Rong spends the night with the Emperor, Qingyin stares wide-eyed at her mistress's delicate white feet, covered in bite marks. "This... did a dog bite her?" Dog*Emperor Jianyuan: "...Take her away and execute her." Three months after Yun Rong begins spending the night with the Emperor, Qingyin sees those bite-marked feet again, and her face flushes red. Half a year later, Qingyin calmly takes out ointment and applies it to her mistress's feet. "Mistress, your feet need to stay soft and fair. We absolutely can't let them scar." Yun Rong: "...Soft and fair? Do you think they're steamed buns?" Theme: Not everything in the world is black and white.
