Wind Rests on the Wild Plain

[Synopsis]

On the first day of transferring schools, the classroom was a noisy mess, but Li Yutan immediately spotted a boy at the back.

He was handsome and refined, but one moment he seemed well-behaved, and the next he had a distinctly roguish air.

She regretted striking up a conversation with him.

**

Jiang Zhu had never seen a student like her before. She dressed as if she had stepped out of a history textbook. The first time they met, she bowed to him. The second time, she tripped and landed kneeling right in front of him.

Born into a ridiculously dramatic wealthy family, he had long since stopped caring about anything. He paid no attention to the girl's flushed cheeks, abruptly interrupted another girl who was reading a love letter, then leaned toward her and deliberately put her on the spot.

"How about this: you, you read it."

**

The girl could be stubborn sometimes, and Jiang Zhu would tease her until he made her angry.

He would saunter after her, coaxing and pleading until he had made her happy again.

Back then, he had no idea that this very girl would rekindle his fighting spirit, and that he would willingly set aside his pride and sharp edges to share the scars he had kept hidden for so long.

*Little bonus scene

One day after they reunited, a gust of wind snapped Li Yutan's umbrella, splashing muddy water all over Jiang Zhu. His leather shoes and suit trousers were speckled with mud.

She tried to pay him back, but he grabbed her around the waist.

His low voice brushed her ear:

"Look at you, getting bold. Think you can pay me off?"

○ Mostly school life, plus city life. Big bad wolf and little white rabbit.

○ The author is a cringey girl with a tender heart (hides face).

Theme: Give everything you have to seize every glimmer of light, and at last the sky will grow bright.
