“He wants to know everything about you, and control who you befriend and what colors you like without you noticing... He Zhaozhao, you need to wake up.”
“Shen Yu, I'm not as stupid as you think. How do you know I don't enjoy it?”
Ten years ago, He Rongyu rescued Zhaozhao. He gave her a name, an identity, and a place in the family, making her the Third Miss He.
When He Zhaozhao turned sixteen, He Rongyu arranged her marriage. He wanted to find her the best possible match. The heir to Prince Pingyang was a refined and noble gentleman, sure to be the perfect partner for her.
He Rongyu advised Zhaozhao, “I've spent my life embroiled in schemes and power struggles, and I won't have a good ending. Prince Pingyang has no real power, but his family is scholarly and respected by His Majesty. He'll be able to protect you in the future.”
Zhaozhao nodded to show she understood. She raised her hand and offered him a cup of wine. “Thank you, big brother, for saving me from this chaotic world all those years ago, and giving me a life, a name, and an identity. This cup is for you.”
She smiled brightly, reminding He Rongyu of the first time they met. Her eyes had been so clear, and all these years, Zhaozhao had been the only light in his heart.
He Rongyu had always been the one scheming against others. He Zhaozhao was the first person ever to scheme against him.
He had never been on guard around her, and drank the wine she offered without hesitation, falling into her trap.
The next morning, she was wearing He Rongyu's outer robe and kneeling in the inner room. She looked at him with those same clear eyes and said with a grin, “Second brother, I can't marry the heir now. Punish me if you want, but I'm already yours, so you'll have to take care of me for the rest of my life.”
He Rongyu's face darkened as he called for the family rod.
Zhaozhao held her head high and pretended to be calm, thinking that whatever happened, it was worth it.
But He Rongyu only tapped the top of her head lightly with the ruler, sighing with helpless affection. “Zhaozhao, you're not clever enough.”
*The male and female leads are unrelated by blood and were adopted into the family.
--- Upcoming Novel ---
A Pillow of Passion
Because she was born with a face that could bring ruin to a kingdom, Baoyan was always thought to be a seductive woman with bad intentions.
In truth, she was a beautiful airhead with no great ambitions. Her only goal in life was to eat, drink, and wait for death.
The heir to Prince Liang coveted Baoyan's beauty and somehow found a poison he intended to use on himself and Baoyan.
Through a twist of fate, the poison was instead administered to Baoyan and the Crown Prince.
-
The Crown Prince, Shen Chen, had always been cool and abstinent, with little interest in women.
One day, he met a seductive woman who clumsily tried to tempt him. Shen Chen was disdainful and naturally thought little of her.
But for some reason, from that day onward, he dreamed about her every night.
Only later did Shen Chen learn that he had been poisoned.
The poison was called Hundred Days of Passion. To cure it, he had to find that seductive woman, and the poison would wear off after a hundred days. If it wasn't cured, both of them would be in mortal danger.
Shen Chen had no choice but to take the seductive woman as his concubine.
-
A hundred days later, Baoyan cheerfully went to bid Shen Chen farewell. “Your Highness, now that your poison is cured, I'll go home and get married.”
Shen Chen nodded. He had promised the seductive woman that once the poison was cured, he would let her go home and marry.
The poison had clearly been cured, but after the seductive woman left, Shen Chen still couldn't sleep at night.
When he saw Baoyan again, she was meeting the son of a minor official, and the two of them were talking happily, seeming to hit it off.
Shen Chen crushed the teacup in his hand.
Baoyan hadn't expected to see Shen Chen, and it seemed he had been poisoned again.
“Your Highness, hasn't your poison been cured?”
Shen Chen ignored her question. “His father is only a fifth-rank official, and there's already a beautiful concubine in his household.”
Baoyan was too slow-witted to understand.
Shen Chen's eyes burned as he closed in on her. “But Mo Baoyan, if you marry me, you'll be the Crown Princess of Great Zhao. You know I'm the only one who has ever had you in his heart.”
*One-on-one romance, both virgins, cool and scheming hero x beautiful airhead heroine
Theme: You have to fight for the things you want.

No matter what, it's over with Tian Tian~
Ah ah ah, I thought there would be a side story about children.
Fortunately, luckily, it is better to break up before marriage than after marriage.
The eldest brother's character is well developed, and the second brother's character design is always consistent. It feels like he is someone who doesn't bother pretending to save face. When others praised him for his prowess in shooting, he was not unduly modest and accepted it calmly. The master passed away. He didn't want to cry and he wouldn't pretend to cry just to show off. He knows what he is capable of and what kind of person he is. This is his greatest charm. If he is a jester, he will not pretend to be loyal. But until now I don't think my second brother wants the throne, I don't know why... Unless the situation forces me to protect Zhao Zhao or something like that hahaha
No, it's gone now
Okay, I want a lot of extras, kids and Renhuidi, please, please
I always feel that something is wrong with Xiaoyun (x_x;)
Spread the flowers ~ I feel like the ending is a little rushed.
It's a pity to see my second brother retiring like this.
