Originally titled "Why Is Tan, the Great Writer Who Uses His Thesis to Craft Settings, Raising Dazai in Bungo Stray Dogs?"
-
Tan, known as "the last member of the Buraiha," died.
But he didn't like that title at all. Every time he saw it, he couldn't help thinking of the three people who had left him alone in this world.
As "Dazai Osamu" called his name, he closed his eyes. When he opened them again, he discovered that he wasn't dead. He had transmigrated.
(Day 1 after transmigration) Tan: Is this the afterlife? Dazai, Oda Sakunosuke, Ango, where are you...
(Day 2 after transmigration) Tan: ??? What's happened to the Japanese literary world?!
(Day 3 after transmigration) Tan: This world has no No Longer Human, no The Setting Sun, no... and no Dazai Osamu or Buraiha. Let it all be destroyed.
(Day n after transmigration) Tan: I have my Dazai now, but there's a serious problem. How do I convince my Dazai to leave the Mafia and join me in making a name for himself in the literary world?
(Day n+1 after transmigration) Tan: Thanks for all the advice. Here's what happened next. I'm here to give you the bad news: Dazai and I are colleagues now.

My personal take on Tan: His ability is called The House of Flame, and it lets him control fire (Dazai Osamu: So that's why your cooking is so good!). He looks like Tan from Bungo and Alchemist, but his personality is different. He's like a separate version of Tan, similar to the way Akutagawa's teacher is set up. This is my own interpretation, so please don't base it too much on the Bungo and Alchemist version of Tan!

Here are some potential content warnings, though I'm not sure if they're all appropriate:
1. First and foremost, a warning for OOC characterization, a lack of logic, and poor writing. There are lots of things that might bother you, and this foolish author may not think of everything. Please read with caution, seriously!
2. The main story is about Dark Era Dazai and Tan. It has a happy ending, but there'll be some angst along the way, such as Oda Sakunosuke still meeting a tragic end... (whispers)
3. No romance, just friendship! Not love, friendship (underline this). Friendship can be beautiful too (very loudly).
4. The timeline may be a little muddled. Please don't overthink it, seriously, don't overthink it!
5. I'll add more if I think of anything.
Theme: Long live friendship.
