Yue Yao was a prodigy of the immortal path, blessed with extraordinary talent. Unfortunately, she was headstrong. She fled her sect and fell into the demonic realm, where she soon became its Demon Lord.

Not long after, her senior sister, Cen Shu, ran her through the heart with a single sword thrust.

Fortunately, a wisp of Yue Yao's soul attached itself to a dead infant by the roadside. When she opened her eyes, she saw the very senior sister who had just killed her.

To stop Cen Shu from dragging her back, Yue Yao deliberately sent her a message to make her squirm: Master, I didn't run away on purpose. I just want to commit the ultimate offense and make a move on you!

Cen Shu, in the middle of secluded cultivation, heard the message and snapped her eyes open. Her heart pounded uncontrollably.

After causing trouble, Yue Yao set off to flee back to the demonic realm. But as soon as she turned around, her master emerged from seclusion and caught her red-handed.

As usual, Yue Yao promptly dropped to her knees and admitted her mistake. "I'm sorry, Master. You don't need to punish me yourself. I'll leave the sect on my own."

This time, Cen Shu did not let Yue Yao go. She wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, leaned down, and lifted Yue Yao's chin. "You said you liked me. Prove it to me now."

Later, when Ming Yishu learned the truth, she was terrified. She packed her things that very night and prepared to leave.

When she opened the door, she found someone standing in the heavy snow: Jiang Qionghua, there to block her way.

Jiang Qionghua calmly draped a cloak over her shoulders and whispered, "Stay, and I will let bygones be bygones."
