Lost Like Drifted Silk, You Are the One I Wait For

The war has just ended.

I welcome the first glimmers of dawn.

Endless slaughter and death.

Where are you? I'm waiting for you.

I thought I could find you,

but I can't remember.

What's happening again?

Beyond the rain-streaked window, your empty seat is shattered,

then swept away by the gale.

Like a rose, a little drunk,

I watch it wither.

Who hasn't wished to stay up all night,

just waiting for you?

You are the one I'm waiting for...

Lost, endlessly adrift, walk with me to the end.

Some of the blurb was adapted from Love and Fragrance.

This story's idea came from one of my sudden flights of fancy, and is dedicated to my little friend Jiu Tiao Xiao Hua.
