Reader's Guide:
Complete. A short, absurd and bizarre first-person story. The targets of the author's torment are the Bungo Stray Dogs cellmate group. This is real torment, so read with caution.
The opening is so awkwardly saccharine you'll want to curl your toes. The tone gradually shifts from Chapter 2 onward.
Chapter 3 has lots of horror elements. Chapter 4 is a mystery (though really, it's just setting exposition). It should count as a happy ending. Warning: Dazai and Fyodor both get completely wrecked.
The heroine is chaotic evil, with amnesia, madness, and a split personality. She's good at rambling through solo comedy routines.
Theme: Be honest, brave, and positive
No wonder I felt creepy after reading the first few chapters. I realized, this is a horror novel!
The big boss was actually plotted.
