Because of a health condition, Shuang Liujiu has lived in Nanbo Prison with his older brother, the prison warden, ever since he was little. His only hobby is gaming, until one day he downloads a game called Wandering Stray Dogs.
In the game, Shuang Liujiu raises a strange creature named Dazai Osamu. When other people go traveling, they like to bring pies, bread, and sandwiches. He prefers cocktails mixed with dish soap and mushrooms that look colorful and definitely not safe to eat.
Other people need tents, lanterns, and bowls for their trips. He has Shuang Liujiu prepare bandages, ropes, and wire every day.
Other people come home on schedule and bring back photos of their trips with friends. Shuang Liujiu has to go all over the place to pick him up: from the river, downstairs, or some deserted wilderness.
Shuang Liujiu often thinks, It's only a game. If someone like this existed in real life, he'd drive me crazy! I would never have anything to do with him!
The next day, when Shuang Liujiu wakes up and opens his eyes, he finds himself standing on a street in Yokohama.
