The Villainous Male Supporting Character Struggles to Survive Every Day

[Blurb dated April 28, 2021] Chi Ran has recently been reading a melodramatic novel. In it, there's a vicious male supporting character who shares his name. Unable to win the male lead's love, he resorts to every underhanded trick imaginable, and even almost succeeds... Chi Ran reads and curses along, waiting for the character to get what he deserves and exit the story as soon as possible. The vicious supporting character is finally punished. Before Chi Ran can even clap in celebration, he opens his eyes and discovers he's become that very character in the book. Worse still, the plot has stopped right when the male lead has drunk a spiked drink, and the vicious supporting character is clinging to him like an octopus. There's less than half a year before the male lead goes completely dark, but Chi Ran thinks he might as well prepare his own urn now. As expected, the male lead shoves him away with disgust, his eyes as cold as if he were looking at a pile of trash. "Get out." Chi Ran's limbs stiffen for a moment. Then he slowly bends down and, very seriously... rolls over once. Chi Ran is fighting for his life to stay alive. "Bro, was that... a decent roll?" Chi Ran: "I can roll even farther." Much later, he's still dragged back. Chi Ran is on the verge of tears. "I really did roll far away." But the man before him, with his rakish features, says, "Roll around by my side. Don't roll away again." Theme: Be kind, and you'll be rewarded.
