After transmigrating into a superhero world, Bella's dream of being everyone's favorite girl was shattered.
Not only had she become the government lackey superheroes hated most, but she was in charge of the largest prison for superpowered people, along with a crazy team whose members all had bizarre personalities.
And her greatest crisis had absolutely nothing to do with some aggressively hostile, dark-haired Gotham vigilante, or the supervillains she was monitoring. It was...
Keeping in shape?
You've got to be kidding me. Is that gorgeous, curvy Black woman in the mirror really the person she remembers?
As it turned out, Bella's biggest crisis was a rival eyeing her position: a one-eyed, bald egghead who kept trying to shut down her department.
Faced with the superheroes' distrust, Bella had no choice but to take an unconventional approach to turn things around. And she discovered that the original owner's plans weren't entirely unreasonable...
"Ms. Waller, you've had Deadshot sent to the GCPD for three months!"
"Has he reformed?"
"He got that green-haired lunatic sent away. The citizens of Gotham are fighting to give him thank-you banners!"
At the same time, she had to work with the scheming archenemy of a certain Kryptonian in Metropolis.
"You want to run for office?" Bella said. "Start by becoming mayor of Metropolis. Your GDP can't even compete with next-door Gotham. How do you expect anyone to respect you?"
The following year, under Mayor Luthor, Metropolis overtook New York and became the number one city in the United States.
"...Amanda, you've certainly changed." After watching her for several years, the dark-haired vigilante finally reached his conclusion.
"It doesn't matter whether you admit it or not," Bella said. "Because I'm resigning."
"Resigning?"
"That's right." Bella smiled. "I'm running for president."
Notes:
1. Career-driven female lead. The pairing hasn't been decided yet, but it's probably a choice between Lex Luthor and Batman.
2. My own take on the universe, with lots of original details. Please don't scrutinize it too closely.
Moral: Help those who've lost their way find a new direction.
