Pei Ran transmigrates into a book, into a Korean comic whose protagonist shares his name. The good news is that it's not an ABO comic about boosting South Korea's birth rate. The bad news is that it's a deranged, exploitative mess.
According to the comic, the original Pei Ran is not only a debt-ridden bottom owing two billion, but also a pawn for the original top. After signing a marriage contract with Shen Shuhe, the story takes a melodramatic turn: Shen Shuhe gives him to a stranger to be abused. To avoid that fate, Pei Ran resolutely decides to keep his distance from the original top and work hard to earn money to pay off his debt!
After an intense bout of debt repayment, he finds his debt has only grown. Pei Ran decides to go back and cling to Shen Shuhe for support.
Pei Ran, smiling obsequiously and rubbing his hands together: "Does that marriage contract you mentioned still stand?"
Shen Shuhe: "Heh."
To secure his inheritance of the family conglomerate, Shen Shuhe marries the grandson of his grandfather's old flame. Before the wedding, his background check concludes: reserved, resilient, easy to handle. And good-looking.
After they get to know each other: sharp-tongued, strange trains of thought, never follows the script. And... still good-looking.
Shen Shuhe: "I really want to poison him so he can't talk."
*A fun-loving, sharp-tongued bottom who roasts everyone equally x a chaebol top whose whole demeanor gradually gets changed
*Full of jokes and memes
*Light, sweet fluff; one couple, both sexually inexperienced
*Korean comics, unrelated to reality; same-sex marriage is legal in this setting
Theme: Even when trapped in hardship, you must have the courage not to give up
