Kangxi Reborn as the Eldest Imperial Grandson 1

In the sixty-first year of Kangxi's reign, the great Emperor Kangxi passed away. In the first half of his life, he had devoted himself tirelessly to his country, but in the second half, he found himself caught in a bitter struggle between father and son, with ruler and ministers distrustful of one another. How tragic. As Kangxi closed his eyes, scenes of harmony between himself and his beloved son, his proudest heir, Yinreng, came to mind. How had the two of them reached the point where they could no longer even see each other?

In the final moments of his life, tears of regret slipped from the corner of Emperor Kangxi's eye. Now that he was dying, what would become of his son? He hadn't even had the chance to make proper arrangements for Baocheng. When he opened his eyes again, he discovered that time had turned back. He was no longer the aloof emperor, high above everyone yet lonely at the top, while his son was still the dazzling crown prince of Great Qing. The joke the crown prince had once made during their happiest days, "Father, in our next life, let me be your father and protect you for a lifetime," had come true. The change in their roles let him, as an onlooker, see more clearly the turbulent undercurrents between the crown prince and the other princes...
