One day, Bai Po came home and saw Xiaoge sitting on the edge of the bed, looking utterly hopeless and lifeless. He was holding a palm-sized mirror and staring at himself. Bai Po was completely baffled. What was he doing? Wasn’t he usually the last person to look in a mirror?

Hearing Bai Po return, Xiaoge didn’t dare turn around. He had a bump the size of an egg yolk on each side of his forehead. He’d just woken up and felt an itch, so he’d reached up to touch it. To his surprise, there were two bumps, perfectly symmetrical... He had no idea why this had suddenly happened, and absolutely refused to turn around! Bai Po would definitely laugh if she saw him.

Bai Po came up in front of Xiaoge, and his whole body instantly tensed.

Xiaoge turned around and stared at Bai Po with a gloomy look.

"Sorry, sorry, I really couldn’t help it. Come on, lift your head and let me see what’s going on." Bai Po gave him a beaming smile.

Xiaoge flushed with anger and growled, "Hurry up and fix it!"

Bai Po examined him for a while, then hesitantly said, "This... looks like an extra bone? Xiaoge, what were you doing at home by yourself???"

Xiaoge stared blankly ahead. "I just woke up."

Bai Po’s mouth twitched. "Those two bumps are dark green. You might be reverting to your ancestral form. They could be underdeveloped qilin horns..."
