Rising to Fame in the Entertainment Industry, Starting as an Extra

[Entertainment industry, drama within a drama, rise-to-the-top story] Zheng Yu spent seven years on film sets, playing passersby for seven years, and never became famous. He started out playing a corpse, a passerby asking for directions, and a background extra running through a rainstorm. He played all sorts of roles with few camera appearances, little screen time, and even fewer lines. Then he was recommended to audition for the role of a sea demon in an adaptation. His look in the show was striking and eye-catching, and his performance was superb. Though he appeared only once, he captivated the audience, who couldn't wait to see him again. "Oh! Those abs, damn... I mean, he acts so well. Look at those abs! Damn, what a sight!" "Hey, you upstairs!" "Um, your comments are making me lose my composure. Is nobody going to talk about how well he played a god? I actually stopped focusing on his abs, although I do want to touch them. Let me touch, let me touch." "The person upstairs really couldn't hide their true colors, but... that's only natural. Who could resist a man with abs who can act? Rose-in-mouth dog-head emoji." "Pfft, " Zheng Yu, when he found out: "..." You guys, you get it, right? Nobody cared about me for seven years as a passerby, then overnight the whole world knew about my abs! * The good news: I'm starting to get famous. The bad news: Nobody cares about my acting. Zheng Yu felt both happy and troubled. His fans said that's just the kind of people they were. But later, when his acting became so good that his roles kept going viral, they were genuinely surprised and even dazzled. ● A few notes ● ● From an ordinary person from the start to a movie star. I've written a lot of powerful protagonists and wanted to try this kind of story. ● The character work is detailed and grounded in everyday life. This isn't a fast-paced story, and it covers a lot of different things. ● The story's style shifts as the characters move through different stages. I'm still learning and exploring, so it changes along the way. ● The story focuses on acting and the filming process. After a show airs, I won't go into detail about parts of the filming I've already written. I'll focus on the audience's reactions. I'll write full drama-within-a-drama sections when inspiration strikes. The story is mostly about filming. I don't write variety shows because I don't know how. Theme: You are the one who decides how to live your life.
