One sword cuts through the void; in blue robes, an immortal lets go of all thoughts.
Gu Weiqing was once a renowned sword immortal, bright and unsullied as moonlight. His Wunian Sword was peerless, and he stood above the mortal world. Yet in the end, during a cataclysm that threatened to destroy heaven and earth, Yin Yu killed him. His hands and feet were severed, he was left deaf and blind, and finally his heart was torn out while he was still alive.
Gu Weiqing endured this agony six times.
When he returned, whole and unharmed, to a hundred years earlier for the seventh time, Gu Weiqing was speechless.
I'm tired. Just destroy the world already!
The aloof beauty became a lazy fish overnight, and Gu Weiqing adapted remarkably well. This time, he decided to travel the mountains and rivers and give up struggling. What did the end of the world have to do with him?
But then little Yin Yu grabbed hold of him.
"Immortal, please take me as your disciple!"
Gu Weiqing: Well, um...
In the end, the sword immortal, now resigned to his fate, kept the pitiful child who would one day turn the world upside down by his side. The troubles of his past life came rushing back, and by sheer chance he even caught the mastermind by the tail. At last, he began to understand the mystery behind his own cycle of rebirth.
