The heroine's parents are from an ordinary family and are average-looking, but she's incredibly beautiful, just half a step away from love at first sight.
I'll try to keep the setting realistic. That means the background is realistic and everyone is sensible, while the heroine alone is unrealistically perfect. I personally think this kind of universally adored heroine makes for a great story.
Bao Die has been reborn.
Before being born, she looks down from above. In the shabby maternity ward of a small county town, the laboring woman grimaces in pain from her contractions. Her face, weathered by the sun and wind as she works to earn a living, still shows a hint of prettiness.
Outside the delivery room, a man hurries over, his phone wedged against his crooked neck. A bundle and various odds and ends are crammed into his hands, and he fumbles about in a panic.
Someone on the other end says something in a local accent. He snaps impatiently, "How would I know if it's a boy or a girl? I haven't even earned the money for New Year's. I'm not coming back this year!"
After hanging up, the man glances at the delivery room. The woman's cries are giving him a headache. He pulls out a cigarette, but a young nurse at the end of the corridor passes by and scolds him, so he grins sheepishly and puts it out.
He can't bring himself to throw it away. He blows on it and tucks it behind his ear.
Bao Die watches quietly. She thinks that being an ordinary person this time around would be nice. She won't be an omega anymore, and she'll be free of the constraints of pheromones.
Inside the delivery room, the woman's cries grow louder and louder. It seems someone is urging Bao Die on. Her body grows light, and the events of her past life fade like a passing cloud.
A baby's cry rings out.
The new nurse hurriedly picks up the baby, smiling. But when she sees the baby's face, her smile freezes.
The mother has her eyes closed, gasping with exhaustion. She doesn't notice anything amiss and quietly asks, "Is it a boy?"
The nurse doesn't answer.
She gently, so very gently, wipes the baby's face clean, and now it's clear.
Fair skin, long eyelashes, features more delicate than a doll in a New Year print. Beautiful, unquestionably beautiful.
The nurse stares for a few seconds. Only when the mother asks again does she suddenly snap out of it.
Is this child really the mother's?!
"Is it a boy? I'm asking if it's a boy!" The mother tries again in halting Mandarin.
She even sits up, trying to see for herself.
The nurse instinctively holds the baby securely and shifts to the side, as if afraid someone might snatch the baby away.
Without thinking, she blurts out, "Sis, how about I raise your daughter for you?"
[The heroine is an omega in an ABO world. Her pheromones have been replaced by beauty, a whole new level of charm.]
[Reborn without her memories, starting with a blank slate.]
[Aside from her beauty, the heroine's golden finger will be kept somewhat in check, with limits on things like intelligence and family background. No sudden second-generation heir, fake or real heiress, or life-saving benefactor will appear.]
[She's just an exceptionally beautiful ordinary person.]
[Her childhood will be included, mainly for the feel-good heroine worship, not because this is a childcare story.]
*The core trope is an ordinary person winning the genetic lottery. It originated in a small world in one of my quick transmigration stories, published on May 11, 2023.
