Yan Chuyun transmigrates into a book and becomes the wicked, scheming villain of the original story. In front of others, he is weak and harmless; behind their backs, he is ruthless and cruel. Later, the Five Elements align, and Heaven's secrets are revealed.

As the descendant of a demon seed, Yan Chuyun has begun to take on a demonic form. To eradicate the demonic nature within him, he is willing to destroy his spiritual roots and abolish his cultivation, all to bring peace to the world.

But only Yan Chuyun knows how this so-called stone holds him every night, possessive yet devoted, whispering his love into Yan Chuyun's ear again and again in a low, husky voice.

Many years ago, the tear the boy left on Li Can's neck comes back to life from the ashes in his heart.

No matter how many times that tear burns him, no matter how many times it drags him into an abyss of eternal torment, he still chooses to face it, giving the boy an embrace that will never retreat again.

Reader's Guide (may contain spoilers): 1. Older shizun as the gong. Don't mix up the gong and shou, haha.

2. The gong has a secret identity. One-on-one romance throughout.

3. The shou (supposedly) transmigrates into a book, while the gong is reborn (?). This is not a traditional transmigration setup.

4. Expect melodrama. There may be angst, but overall it's (probably) not too angsty.
