A planet made entirely of machinery faced Earth from beyond a transparent, jelly-like membrane. In August, several mechanical cubes forced their way through the membrane and crashed onto Earth. All kinds of bizarre rules invaded with overwhelming force. Every day, a hundred people were dragged into a deadly livestream game called The Abyss. If those hundred people reached a death ending, a city would become a nest of horrors. Once the last safe haven on Earth was swallowed by the domain of the horrors, humanity would become playthings for the mechanical planet. In 3204, nearly half the nation's territory had fallen. Despair, fear, bloodlust... The darkest sides of human nature were laid bare. Humanity teetered on the brink of collapse, and an invisible campaign of violence against the "weak" began. Yu Xinglan was a frail, withdrawn young master, cherished and protected by the Yu family as he grew up. He was also the only "weakling" selected for the seven hundred and seventy-seventh game. After being selected for The Abyss, Yu Xinglan died suddenly from exposure to the bizarre aura and unexpectedly transmigrated into a high-dimensional magical world. There, he became the new king of the Star Tower Realm, a nation on the verge of destruction. Through the painstaking lessons of the star-system mages and their wholehearted protection, even to the point of sacrificing themselves, the withdrawn and timid Yu Xinglan finally came to understand. In Star Tower Year 903, Yu Xinglan, wearing the Crown of All, suddenly returned to his original world. Holding The Mage Archives, Yu Xinglan looked at the bizarre rules that had devastated his home and sneered as he drew a punishment card from the archives. "With the stars as my witness, I sentence you to be torn apart by chariots in nine lifetimes." The arrogant horror was sealed inside the golden card by starlight, then cracked apart across the card with a sharp snap. Ling Yiyun, the Xia Kingdom's team captain who turned the tide in the second game of The Abyss, was a wild black wolf who bore the hopes of the entire world yet loved nothing more than going mad, risking his life, and living without restraint. In every game, he delighted in dancing gracefully in the face of despair, savoring the pain at the edge of a blade. Then one day, the badly injured Ling Yiyun stumbled into Yu Xinglan's arms and was mistaken for a stubborn, beautiful, tragic soul. Yu Xinglan carefully protected him.
