The backstory doesn't matter, don't overthink the process, and feel free to interpret the circumstances as you like.
In short, when Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya were sixteen, they had a daughter together,
a cute, tiny, fragrant, soft little bundle.
When Dazai Osamu defected at eighteen, of course he couldn't leave his daughter in the Mafia,
under Doctor Mori's watchful eye.
So he simply took the kid with him,
and left her with his sister, whom he hadn't contacted in years.
Mori Ougai was rather annoyed about this.
The Armed Detective Agency members were stunned.
Dazai Osamu, how did you end up with such an angelic daughter?!
Who is her mother?! You wicked man!

3. Includes: the organizations in Yokohama and Italy that claim to be the Mafia but are always saving the world; the organization that bounces around and fights in the cracks between time and space; my take on Takamagahara; and the academy where you need to bring a change of clothes when you go to eat.
