Transmigrate to Prehistoric Times and Become a Priest [Worldbuilding]

[Currently stockpiling chapters, 200,000 characters so far]

Yu Xia was reborn in the body of a young priest in a prehistoric tribe. The timing of his transmigration was less than ideal: the tribe was facing a double crisis of bitter winter and food shortages. His people shivered in their freezing cave, on the verge of extinction.

Outside the cave, snow and ice covered the land. Yu Xia struggled to find new sources of food to replenish their dwindling stores. Just as he thought he would have to start farming from scratch, his golden finger finally came online!

Xia Wu was the wisest priest on the Totem Continent, and the favored child of the Spring God.

He plucked the sun from winter and brought warmth to his people.

When his hand brushed the grass, it gained the power to heal.

Wherever he went, golden waves of wheat rolled across the fields, and granaries brimmed with rice.

Xia Wu brought abundance and healing to the Totem Continent. On the lands blessed by him, hunger vanished from the lives of every person.

Everyone longed to become one of Xia Wu's people, and every warrior took pride in becoming his guardian. But there was only one warrior blessed by Xia, and his name was Yi.

Yi would always remember that day. The young priest spoke, then held out his hand to him:

"Yi means an arrow attached to a cord. Once an arrow leaves the bow, it never returns."

"Did you choose this name because you long for a 'cord' to tether you, an 'arrow' that has already left the bow?"

At the time, Yi did not answer.

It was only late one night, long afterward, with his canine teeth gently biting into the priest's flesh and his tongue lingering at the nape of his neck, as he gazed at the priest's dazed, unfocused face, that he quietly admitted, "You are my reins."

I am willing to be an arrow that returns, the most loyal hunting dog.

I will always watch your hand, watch the reins in your hand.

Do not let go. Do not put them down.
