The Darling of a Foreign King

After an accident, Xia Chen transmigrated to Jerusalem thousands of years in the past. His arrival created a rift in the times.

The legendary wise king, said to have received divine revelations from God, was carrying out a brutal massacre before his eyes, plundering the people of a neighboring country to build a holy temple where he could worship with all his heart.

The aging, infirm king needed a woman to attend his bedside, so the entire nation searched for the most beautiful woman in the world. By a twist of fate, Xia Chen was taken to the palace in a veil and women's clothes.

As he passed the handsome, delicate-looking prince, he noticed the other man studying him with keen interest. His eyes were like the most venomous snake in the world. Once they fixed on you, there seemed to be nowhere to run.

The man, noble and elegant on the surface but domineering and forceful underneath, abducted him into his private chambers. With his usual high-handedness, he drew Xia Chen into his arms and gave him endless, tender affection.

A king never lacked for lovers, yet after seeing that unusual foreigner, it seemed no one else, however beautiful, could catch his eye.

Xia Chen's hesitation and reluctance stirred a fierce possessiveness in the man's heart. He spent lavishly to build him a palace, and showered him with fine silks and delicious food, hoping only that Xia Chen would smile at him in return.

Time could solve anything. No matter how much the other man refused him, the king remained confident, keeping his prey close and slowly breaking down his defenses...

Faced with the overwhelming love of Jerusalem's greatest king, Xia Chen's quiet heart did not know whether to advance or retreat...
