A string of criminal cases has recently struck Qingcheng. The crime scenes are horrific, and everyone is on edge.

At the corner of every crime scene, a pale pink rose has appeared.

Five years ago, as rose petals whirled around him, a man who had killed several people leapt to his death with a rose in his mouth.

The rose in his mouth seemed to be the very same one that kept appearing at the crime scenes.

"It was all just a coincidence."

Qi Lin tried to convince himself as he pulled away from the memory. But a gold-embossed letter was delivered into his hands, as if in defiance.

"Does the nightmare come back to you, my dear roommate?"

The man he remembered had died by suicide long ago, yet the elegant handwriting pointed to the case from five years ago.

The curse brought by the roses seemed never to have left Qingcheng.

"Senior, senior, I'm Shi Le, your partner."

"Senior, senior, can you buy me a jianbing guozi? I forgot my wallet."

"Come on, senior, just buy me one."

Qi Lin never expected his partner, a criminal profiler, to be such a clingy pest, following him everywhere without a moment's respite.

He watched the guy beside him happily wolfing down a jianbing guozi, sauce smeared at the corner of his mouth. Unable to stop himself, Qi Lin's mouth twitched, and he turned to leave.

But within seconds, the guy was clinging to him again.

"Senior, wait for me! I haven't finished eating..."

Later, the two joined forces to solve cases and work together. With Shi Le around, the dreary atmosphere of criminal investigations gradually lifted.

Shi Le was like a little sun, helping Qi Lin slowly escape the nightmare that had haunted him for so long.

But as the memories returned, Qi Lin unexpectedly discovered that Shi Le was closely connected to the case from five years ago...

A criminal investigation story about a big brother and a clingy pest.

Have we met somewhere before? Why else would you keep clinging to me?
