Everyone knew that Cavier loved her fiancé, Count Leo, so much she couldn’t live without him.

When word of Count Leo’s affair spread throughout the empire, even old women who had seen it all felt compelled to wipe away a tear for her:

“Poor girl.”

“Life is still long. I hope you won’t take your own life over a man.”

But just as everyone expected, the day after the affair was exposed,

Cavier disappeared.

The Duke’s estate was thrown into chaos.

The duke offered a reward of ten thousand gold coins, all to find his precious missing daughter.

Meanwhile,

Cavier was on the road, sword in hand.

She was going to beat the hell out of Leo, the idiot who dared to humiliate her!

Ryderwich, a lowly half-breed werewolf.

Ordinary people feared and despised werewolves, while human nobles treated them like playthings.

Extreme poverty and hunger left Ryder no choice but to risk having his werewolf identity exposed and become a bounty hunter in the human world.

Ryderwich saw the latest wanted poster.

Ten thousand gold coins.

That was enough to support him and his younger siblings for the rest of their lives.

He decided this would be his last job.

But fate had never been kind to Ryder. While searching for the duke’s daughter, he accidentally fell into a hunter’s trap.

Wounded all over by hidden weapons, Ryder could no longer maintain his human form.

He knew he wouldn’t see the sun rise again.

Just as Ryder was despairing, another hapless victim of the trap came tumbling down onto him with a thud.

Ryder groaned.

After the other person groped him all over, she finally climbed off.

Moonlight illuminated Ryder’s face.

Cavier also saw the pair of wolf ears on his head.

Unlike the way other people looked at werewolves, Cavier’s eyes held no fear, disgust, or lechery.

Cavier exclaimed, admiration mixed into her astonishment: “What a chest, what a waist, what a butt. I can’t believe I just found a werewolf?!”

Ryder: “...”

Cavier couldn’t resist giving his ears a rub. “Poor little beauty. I’m already in love.”

Ryder: “...” Pervert.

Looking into his blue eyes, Cavier smiled. “Once I’m done beating the hell out of Leo, that idiot, you can take me back to the Duke’s estate to claim that ten-thousand-gold reward.”

Ryder’s eyes flew open.

His face flushed red. After a long pause, he finally managed to say in a low, stiff voice:

“...I’ll let you touch my ears again.”
