I Became a Scumbag Male Insect and Saved the Rebel Leader

Gu Ting is transported into the body of a notorious male insect duke. According to the mission assigned by the System, he needs to help the protagonist, Theodore, overcome his difficulties. Theodore is born rebellious and deeply calculating. After his failed rebellion, the original owner, who enjoys tormenting insects, buys him. Seeing Theodore on the verge of death, Gu Ting treats his injuries and takes care of all his needs. Theodore is highly suspicious. “Why are you being so good to me?” Propping his chin on his hand, Gu Ting gives him a fake sneer. “So I can nurse you back to health and torment you slowly, of course. Don't get the wrong idea and flatter yourself.” Theodore lowers his head, his gaze turning vicious. Later, when Theodore is hunted, Gu Ting secretly intervenes. When Theodore is consumed by grief over a friend's death, Gu Ting snaps him out of it with insults. When Theodore lacks the funds for his rebellion, Gu Ting gives him money, claiming he needs it to keep a canary. Gu Ting helps him in every way, both openly and in secret. Theodore finally reaches the destined ending and is crowned king. By Theodore's nature, he'll surely kill Gu Ting once he takes the throne. Gu Ting calmly awaits his death. Once he dies, he can complete his mission and return to headquarters. But death never comes. Instead, Theodore binds his hands. Gu Ting says coldly, “What are you planning to do?” Theodore leans over him and smiles. “Naturally, to serve you, my duke.” Years later, someone asks Gu Ting how he and Theodore got together. Gu Ting: I didn't mean for it to happen, but he was so pitiful and lovable that I fell for him. *Smiles.* This is a fictional setting with no connection to reality.
