Lu Xin is about to become a god in the Infinite World. The gods are all on edge. Losing their authority is a small matter; a god's death is the real problem.
To make sure Lu Xin meets his end, the gods conspire to create a special bait tailor-made for him: Ji Ran.
Lu Xin is heartless, so:
The Gu God: “I grant you [Sensitivity]. Any skin Lu Xin touches will turn red and give off an alluring scent, making him feel tender toward you.”
Lu Xin is stubborn, so:
The Food God: “I grant you [Cooking Skills]. To win a man's heart, first win his stomach. Use your exquisite cooking to soften him!”
Lu Xin is brutal and bloodthirsty, so:
The Medical God: “I grant you [Fear]. You will fear violence and faint at the sight of blood. Use true love to stop Lu Xin from continuing his slaughter.”
Lu Xin is a lonely man who lacks love, so:
The Charm God: “I grant you [Allure].”
The God of Love: “I grant you [Longing].”
The Moon God: “I grant you [Obsession].”
The Beauty God: “I grant you... Forget it. You're beautiful enough already. You don't need it!”
The violence and terror of the human weapon have spread throughout the Infinite World. Ji Ran keeps his distance and decides to slack off.
But the gods won't let their carefully set bait get away.
When they first meet:

Ji Ran: “Can I just say, could you update the System's vocabulary? Those dead memories are coming back to attack me.”
Ji Ran looks at Lu Xin with eyes that twitch “involuntarily.”
Lu Xin punches away the evil spirit charging at them and asks without turning around, “What ability did you awaken?”
Ji Ran silently looks at his tacky skills and answers through gritted teeth, “Does [Fear] count?”
“Then use your ability to make the monsters afraid.”
“Could it be... that I'm the one who's afraid?”
“Damn! (A kind of plant, and later it can also be a verb.)”
Ji Ran thinks there's something strange about these Infinite Worlds:
