Cats Always Grow in the Drawer

Hu Tao's life was utterly ordinary until a high schooler called her “ma'am.” Things changed after cats started growing in her drawer.

The black kitten liked rummaging through her medical kit and wreaking havoc on the bandages, pushing cups off the table, destroying potted plants, and getting into fights with the orange kitten until the whole room was covered in fur.

What harm could a kitten possibly do?

“Let's get it neutered in a few months.”

Every so often, a few cats would appear in the drawer.

They were all strange in their own ways.

A Ragdoll with weird behavior, sometimes handsome and sometimes a total goofball.

A chubby calico that opened the fridge and stole food for itself, accompanied by a shy but incredibly well-behaved and adorable brown kitten.

A majestic-looking but inexplicably gloomy Maine Coon drunkard, always followed by an energetic friend who wanted him to have fun too.

A detective cat obsessed with solving crimes, always hanging around crime scenes and constantly receiving commendation banners.

One that liked rummaging through medicine wrappers, one that liked playing poker, one that liked digging holes to bury itself, one that liked reading and collecting little knickknacks...

Just as she had gathered enough cats to think she could open a cat cafe, they suddenly all vanished. She opened the drawer to look for them, only to find herself somewhere else, where all sorts of strange people would come forward and claim her as their caretaker.
