The Legend of Bluestone

The east wind sighs, bringing a fine rain; beyond the lotus pond, faint thunder rolls.

A golden toad bites at the lock as incense smoke drifts inside; a jade tiger draws up a thread from the well.

Jia’s daughter peeks through the curtain at the young Han; Consort Fu leaves her pillow for the gifted Prince of Wei.

Let not a spring heart bloom alongside the flowers: every inch of longing turns to ash.
