The Screenwriter Decides to Go All In

Absurd, melodramatic, satirical comedy. Come watch the TV show! I'm a screenwriter, and I've just been given an urgent assignment: write new scenes for a TV series that's already airing and being filmed one episode at a time. Every episode has to boost the ratings. Season One has thirteen episodes, and if the ratings are good, they'll rush into production on Season Two. To hit my KPI, I, the screenwriter, have to go all in and turn a bicycle into a motorbike. I don't care about logic or acting (prose). Everything is for the ratings! As long as I can explain it away, even the dead can come back to life! Now, readers, step into the role of the audience. The show is starting! If this story gets picked up for a paid section, it'll be like paying for a membership to watch! If the ratings are high, behind-the-scenes footage (bonus chapters) will be released as the story updates. Genres: wealthy families, murder for love, mystery, romance, melodrama, family drama, marriage, revenge, business warfare... [Readers can play the audience and interact in the comments. You can rant, guess what the screenwriter will do next, and the screenwriter may even “borrow” your ideas. Everything is for the ratings!] Note: This is an experimental story. Its core is satire and snark. I don't know if I can get this story going during the slowest season for traffic, but I'll give it a try. I really hope everyone will interact more with this one. Let the rants fly! Let the comments section cosplay take off! Theme: Keep your feet on the ground in how you live and work.
