Nightwing ran into a white bird on a rainy day in Gotham.
Nightwing: ...What do you mean Gotham has a new vigilante again? Am I the last to find out this time? Batman, do you have anything to say?
The eldest son of the Bat-Family flew back to the Batcave in a fury, only to discover that this time, he was the first to know.
No one in the family recognized the bird.
Bastian found it hard to explain why the first thing he did after transmigrating was make a good impression on his great-grandfather. By all rights, these old-timers ought to be doing sit-ups in their graves, but instead they were flying around Gotham in skintight suits, full of energy like a flock of birds that never aged.
Bastian sat on the edge of a building, pondering his life.
His friend, who had traveled all this way to find him, was sitting cross-legged and chewing a hamburger with gusto. He gave Bastian a thumbs-up. "It's fine. Look on the bright side, at least you've already talked to Nightwing. That's Nightwing, man!"
Apparently, his friend still hadn't realized what it meant to end up in a world with a bald supervillain.
Bastian thought about it gravely.
Reader's Guide:
1. No pairings, including in the extras. There are no romances in the story either. Except for those who already have children, everyone stays single.
2. A lighthearted story, written in my spare time for fun.
3. A big multiverse premise. The multiverse can sort everything out. The protagonist comes from another universe and is the biological child of the Wayne family, not an artificial human, but the circumstances are complicated and will be explained later.
4. I'll start posting once I have 100,000 words saved up.
5. I haven't read every comic, so some out-of-character moments are inevitable, and not every canon character can appear. I'll mainly write characters I'm more familiar with and who are better known. Some brief appearances and details come from the original comics, but they won't affect the main plot.
Theme: Home, home. With love, there's nothing to fear.
