A record of all the fanfiction I've read, including spin-offs based on wuxia (Lu Xiaofeng, Chu Liuxiang, and others), crossovers (Bungo Stray Dogs, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, One Piece, Pokemon, and others), superheroes, mythology (Greek, Hebrew, Primordial Chaos, and others), Qing-dynasty time travel, the Three Kingdoms, and more.
I recommend novels that meet any one of these three criteria:
1. The protagonist knows the plot, and so do we. This is the case with most fanfiction.
2. The protagonist knows the plot, but the source material may not exist in reality. Usually these are transmigration-into-a-book stories where the book is fictional.
3. The protagonist doesn't know the plot, but the reader does. The protagonist is generally written as having amnesia or never having read the source material.
I generally don't recommend quick transmigration stories, since I have a dedicated list of them in my collection.
That's all. Fellow fans, feel free to share your recommendations.
